Autumn Burnt is the first release from the experimental project "County Conservation District", based in Pittsburgh, PA. This EP is symbolic of the Gaelic festival "Samhain", which marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the winter season. The record reflects this in it's two movements. The first movement, tracks 1-2, reflects the harvest season, a time of great joy and prosperity. Its ambient synth tones and field recordings give the listener a sense of calm. The second movement, tracks 3-5, reflect the winter season, a time of struggle and despair, yet with a hint of beauty. The closing track, Lake Effect, reminds the listener that everything will be ok. There are many environments the listener can get lost in. This EP was released on Endangered Species Tapes in November 2018, cassette copies are still available at the link below. (The tape copy comes with a special bonus track which is a cover of "Pumpkin Gets A Snakebite" by Animal Collective.)
